Chinatown Shophouses (4)

I like this beautiful built shophouse. You could see that it was built in 1910. In the olden days, builders would engraved the year the building was built on them. I am glad the owner kept most of the original architectural designs except for a fresh coat of paint.

Another beautiful architecturally built shophouse in the heart of chinatown.

Inside this building are many different shops and offices.

Those are the buildings are that worth cherishing and preserving now in Singapore. Lots of them over at Arab street, some never revamp before and are pretty cool as well.

Have a good Sunday!! :)

I simply love all those old shop houses, they are now better preserved, and renovated. A lot of them have been destroyed to let place to brand new modern huge buildings to make money. But nowaday people understand better the value of Heritage building. There is plenty in Penang, too, I like to walk in the streets of Penang admiring the old stones of former times.

Lovely shots. I love old architecture. It is good that these buildings have been retained and/or restored.

These buildings are so beautiful, I wish everyone took care of the old ones like the owners of these buildings are doing.
