Dinosaur Exhibits at Plaza Singapura

Was shopping at Plaza Singapura and encountered two huge dinosaurs. Hahaha, lucky it was just the exhibits of the dinosaurs skeletons. I think they are just the replicas of the real ones, but they were just as interesting and real huge.

Cannot imagine these dinosaurs used to rule the earth.

It's the school holiday now for Singapore kids so they really attract the kids to the exhibits. The exhibts end 29th June 2015. For more information you could view from the official website of Plaza Singapura.

Looney Tunes at Plaza Singapura

These photos taken during the June school holiday. I brought my niece for a movie and happen to know there's a show by Looney Tunes. Oh I love Bugs Bunny. I was so excited that I brought my niece to watch the show.

But I am wondering why I am more excited than niece about Bugs Bunny...lol. I guess I am still young at heart. Hmm...so this give me the excuse not to bring niece to Universal Studio Singapore in future...hahaha. Planning to go to Universal Studio Singapore later part of the year as some of the attractions are not ready yet. I want to make my money worth...hahaha.
Being the football season, Bugs Bunny is the goal keeper while the kids get to throw the ball into the net.

Some short videos on Looney Tunes Characters in action.

A day out to the movie

Brought my little niece to the movie. No prize for guessing which movie we watch.

Nowadays, our cinemas are not the stand alone building. They are located in malls and each cinema has a few cinemas halls in them and we can watch different movies in a day unlike in the past. Once I watch two different movies in a day, it was fun but tiring...lol.

Okay, I did not watch the 3D version cause I will get migraine if I watch 3D for too long.

Even before we watch the movie, we have to spend money on food....lol. Niece love the popcorn and I love the nachos.

Just outside the cinema, there's a shop which sells everything that's connected with the movies. I love the star wars characters.

Plaza Singapura - F1

The F1 fever is here again. It is interesting to see the F1 roadshow at Plaza Singapura. There's a racing car that comes with a virtual screen infront of it.

This man seems so engrossed in the game as if he is really in a F1 race.
And these men seem so engrossed with these girls...lol. These girls are part of the SingTel Grid Girls. The Sing Tel Grid Girls will be escorting the F1 racers out to the racing track. To find out more about the F1 race on 27th September in Singapore, you can view the official website.

I think i like this remote control racing car better. :)

A short video of the going ons at the F1 road show.

Pink Saturday-Chinese New Year Decoration at Plaza Singapura

Today my contribution for pink saturday is the big ball of flowers with so many pink and red flowers. It was part of the chinese new year decoration. Chinese New Year starts on 26th January 2009 and lasted for 15 days.

If you think the decorations are familar, you are right, they were recycled from the christmas decoation. You can view them in my previous posting angels and angels flying.
The chinese characters meant "Ying Chun" or Welcome Spring.

For more pinky participants, please visit Beverly of How Sweet The Sound.

Angels Flying

My part of the world is in the mood for christmas.
Saw many angels flying in Plaza Singapura.
Closer look at angel
At night these angels would be lighted up and the strands of fairy lights would be lighted too.

I think they would looked very beautiful at night.

Science in the Mall (Part 2)

This is a continuation of my earlier post on Science in the Mall.

There is an exhibit of a giant model of the Emperor Scorpion. Parents were eager to explain the details of the scorpion from the placard. I remembered I did that too when my sons were young whenever we visited any exhibition or the zoo. Parents are always very busy passing on knowledge to their children....lol.

Closer front view of the emperor scorpion.

Side view of the emperor scorpion.

This is the nest of the Black Widow Spider

A exhibit of the spider (not a real spider)
I found that the science exhibits are great for kids and adults and a good place to take photos too.
Please do look at the background of the photos, you can see the many shops in the mall. Shopping is one of the pastime of Singaporeans.

Horses in Motion

Ten life-sized hand-painted horses custom made in USA, was specially commissioned by the Singapore Turf Club to kick-start this year’s Singapore International Racing Festival, Singapore’s biggest racing extravaganza of the year.

The horses were displayed at Plaza Singapura. But I only found two of them, the rest were displayed at other shopping malls. For more information, you can read about them in Singapore Turb Club website.

The horses were huge and looked just like the real horses except that they are very colourful. :)
