Time passes very fast, is the mid autumn festival again. Decided to visit chinatown for some shopping and photography.

This year the theme for the decorations seem to be lots of lanterns.

Singapore New Coins

PLEASE DO NOT REPOST MY PHOTOS WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. PEOPLE HAVE BEEN STEALING MY PHOTOS AND REPOST TO THEIR BLOGS WITHOUT MY PERMISSION AND THE MOST DIGUSTING THING THEY DID WAS SCREEN SHOT MY PHOTO AND CORP OFF MY BLOG TITLE.

Singapore new coins replacing all the old coins but dont worry the old coins are still legal. The new coins are very pretty, with each coin having a face with famous landmarks/attractions in Singapore. The $1 coin has a face of the Merlion, the 50 cents coin has a face of the shipping port, the 20 cents coin has a face of the Changi Airport, the 10 cents coin has a face of our public housing and the 5 cents coin has a face of the esplanade.

Here are the three generations of the $1 coins. The first generation of the $1 coin is so unique, you could hardly find it in circulation anymore while the other lower denominations of the first generation can still be found in circulation.

Hahaha I still have only eight pieces of the first generation of the $1 coins.

You can view the official website of Monetary Authority of Singapore for more information on the new coins.

PLEASE ASK PERMISSION

PLEASE ASK PERMISSION BEFORE YOU RE POST MY PHOTOS ON TO YOUR BLOG. THERE ARE SOME BLOGGERS WHO DID NOT ASK MY PERMISSION AND REPOST MY PHOTOS WITHOUT THE COURTESY OF LINKING BACK TO MY BLOG. THIS IS LIKE STEALING. PEOPLE, I HAVE SPEND MUCH TIME TAKING PHOTOS AND DOING HOMEWORK ON MY TRAVELLING INFORMATION AND KINDLY SHARE THESE INFORMATION TO ANYONE INTERESTED IN THEM. IF NECESSARY, I WILL POST SCREEN SHOT OF YOUR BLOG TO SHOW YOUR BAD MANNERS OF STEALING MY PHOTOS. THE MOST DISGUSTING THING THEY DID WAS TO SCREEN SHOT MY PHOTO AND CORP OFF MY BLOG TITLE FROM MY PHOTO AND REPOST THEM IN THEIR BLOG.

Dinner at Boon Tat Street Lau Pa Sat

Last weekend, we had dinner at Boon Tat Street beside Lau Pa Sat. At night, Boon Tat Street is closed to traffic where diners can sit in the open under the sky to have a meal. It was more airy and breezy to sit outside rather than inside the Lau Pa Sat (old market).

The satay that we ordered from Rahim tasted very good and delicious, no fats in the meat and the meat were very tender and juicy.

One can order just the satay or a combination of some other BBQ meat.

There were so different stalls inside the Lau Pa Sat but we dont have to walk into the old market to order our food, the stall holders would bring the menu to you.

BBQ Stingray

Seafood Omelette

Sambal Kang kong

Fried Rice

Tofu

BBQ Chicken wings
